Sanya Richards, who is Aaron Ross’ fiancee, took the bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics in the 400m finals.  She was the favorite to win the gold, but was overtaken in the last 80m.

Richards lost most of her 2007 season to Behcet’s syndrome, a rare and painful disorder that causes chronic inflammation of blood vessels throughout the body.
